You go about your daily business and suddenly you feel fat. Maybe you trained your legs yesterday and they’re rubbing together just a little bit too much, or your arms are sore and you feel as though your pecs (aka man boobs, because, let’s face it, they still are man boobs) feel a bit fat.
I couldn’t really get my head around this until I was told by my PT that this is down to muscles swelling after you’ve worked them (a day or so after) and how that’s a key point to people feeling fat. Much like when you take drastic action and start to lose weight – or go on a 10-day purirum cleanse like I did – at the start you lose a lot of retained water because that’s what your body wants to get rid of first.
That’s what I wanted to share with you. I give myself permission to feel fat when I know that I’ve been working hard. To not do would be a little silly, don’t you think?
